About Me

I have been in law enforcement nearly 35 years, and am currently the Chief of Police for an agency of about 60 police officers. I spent my first 31 years working in a department of about 1,500 police officers, and gained experience in just about every facet of policing during that time. I had about 20 years in patrol working the streets, and spent more than a decade in other assignments that included police academy instructor, human resources, employment and the Chief's office, as well as several other stops along the way. 

Prior to becoming a police officer I worked as a journalist for several years at a small newspaper.
